a constant feature and focal point was the “conversation wall”, which served as an analogue meeting place. the aim was to promote encounters as an everyday and natural part of life in the neighbourhood. this week was intended to “warm up” the neighbourhood emotionally, spark spontaneous conversations and bring different groups into contact with one another on an equal footing. from a political perspective, too, the project was an invitation to view public space as a shared resource.
